‘Breakfast with Grace’ is a wake up call with an important message.
TasICT is proud to present a significant event with an inspiring guest speaker, Grace Tame.
On January 26, the 2021 Australian of the Year title was awarded to Grace Tame who is the first Tasmanian to receive the honour.
TasICT is thrilled that Grace has accepted an invitation to be the guest speaker at our breakfast networking function.
‘Breakfast with Grace’ is on Thursday April 15 at the Blundstone Arena Function Centre.
Guests will get a ‘wake up call’ from an impressive Tasmanian.
Grace is credited as the catalyst for the Women’s March 4 Justice campaign. Victims are inspired to speak up through her thought provoking words, “behaviour unspoken, behaviour ignored, is behaviour endorsed”.
TasICT CEO Steve Adermann said, “As Australian of the Year, Grace is in big demand. She is asked to appear at many events as a keynote speaker. In addition, there are requests for online and mass media interviews as well as public engagements. So we are over the moon that she accepted our invitation to speak. As a result, we expect the event to attract a broad representation from the business community to hear her message”.
“Diversity and perspective are important to the ICT industry, so Grace will offer our guests plenty of food for thought. More importantly, they will hear advice from Grace on what is needed for genuine change” Mr Adermann said.
The event starts at 7.00am ends at 8.30am, and consequently attendees can enjoy the function and still make it to work on time. There is ample car parking adjacent to the venue. Local council parking restrictions only apply after 9.00am.
The breakfast networking event is sponsored by Document Management Tasmania. DMT is a White Ribbon certified workplace supporting the end of men’s violence against women.
Prior to the address by Grace Tame, DMT Managing Director Keirran Downham will speak on his company’s involvement with White Ribbon Australia and why the cause is important to him.
Business services offered by DMT will be highlighted during the presentation by the major sponsor.
There are also Event Partners who have helped. They are ISW, Red Apple IT, GSD Advisors, 42-24, AQ Advisory, My State Bank, Red Piranha, Ionata Digital, Blundstone Arena Function Centre, Eagle Crest and Cooper IP.
The initial response to the event has been strong with over 150 guests registered. At the time of publication, tickets are still on sale. For more information log on to tasict.com.au This is a COVID Safe event and guests should not attend if they have cold or flu like symptoms.
